Architectural and Development Plan Standards The Village Gardens team has created standards which guide the development and design of Village Gardens. The Development Plan Standards were created as apart of the Village Gardens PUD submission to the City of Lincoln. This document outlines all use, setback, zoning requirements and other information necessary to planning the neighborhood. The Architectural Standards further define the architectural guidelines for all residential and commercial uses in Village Gardens. These documents can be downloaded from our ‘Promotional Materials’ section of our website.
Plans in the Village Gardens Library of Home Plans have all been approved by the Village Gardens Architectural Review Committee. Lot purchasers may select a plan for their home at no cost with the purchase of a Village Garden lot. Custom home plans, or library plans that have had major revisions, must be reviewed and approved by the Village Gardens Architectural Review Committee. Lot owners creating a custom or revised plan should obtain a copy of the Architectural and Development Plan Standards. Landscaping Standards Village Gardens boulevards, parks, and common areas will be landscaped to provide beautiful, enjoyable outdoor living spaces. Guidelines for residential landscaping are outlined in the Architectural Standards document. Each lot purchase includes a beginning landscape allowance that is proportionate to the lot size, which homeowners can use to begin the process of creating attractive outdoor spaces. This would include the creation of a Landscape Design Plan executed and preformed by Campbell's Nursery and Garden Centers for trees, scrubs, evergreens and perennials and their installation.
